More car problems.
Yesterday, I decided to take a little drive down to the mall. Well, on my way there (in the parking lot), my car was really struggling to go when pressed on the gas. I knew I had plenty of gas…so that couldn’t be the reason. Then, it started shaking like crazy. I figured it wasn’t a huge deal and I would just ask my brother about it when I got home. So I pulled into the Sears parking lot and picked a spot. I shut my radio off and I heard a really loud rattling type noise. So after a short time in the mall (since I was worried about my baby), I decided to head home. Then, when I started my car…it sounded like a lawn mower. I don’t know a lot about cars…but I do know that it is not good when they sound like a lawn mower.
So my brother says that I probably need a new engine. He didn’t have a lot of time to look at it…but he did say that it doesn’t look good…and that it’ll be expensive.
Fun!
More issues
So not only is my car being dumb, but….
My sisters truck is leaking & she can’t drive it.
I am pretty sure my parents van isn’t fully fixed.
And now, our camper is rotting. Excellent

So here is how it went down:
I went to OU this morning for my orientation.
I was on University and stopped at a red light. Suddenly, my car started rolling backwards. I was pushing down on the break as far as I could. I was screaming “oh my goodness! oh my goodness! I am going to hit this car behind me!” So then I threw my car into park & freaked out a little more. The light turned green, I put my car into drive and it worked fine. I, of course, was still freaking out & I was shaking and praying the entire way after that. I come up to the next red light & I start freaking out again. My car stopped fine & didn’t roll backwards. Then the light turned green and my car stalled. I turned it off & it didn’t want to start again. Of course I freaked out a little more because my flashers don’t work. My car finally started for me & I finally made it safely to OU.
Then the entire way home I prayed, talked sweetly to my car & kept my hand on the emergency break. I thankfully had no car problems on the way home (well…except for turning left onto University instead of right, causing me to have to take 175, then M59 [south instead of north because I'm dumb] and make my way back into Rochester…what a waste of gas.)
My brother told me that I have a few hoses that may be leaking (in addition to my transmission leak). He thinks that the problem may be bad gas (dumb Mobil).
This weekend my parents are gone, so I plan to drive their car everywhere…just to feel safer.
Movies.
So I am pretty much in love with nights like this. Spending my weekends watching movies with my friends. Every time we have these movie nights, it is always Nicole & I…sometimes with a few others mixed in. Nicole & I have similar taste in movies, so we can find five movies to watch in one night instead of sleeping. Scary movies are always an excellent choice for our movie nights. Nicole & I always sit on our laptops, talking & watching the movies. Talking in movies is fine, but don’t when people constantly talk & ask questions…it’s annoying. There is a huge difference between our talking & some other people talking. I don’t know what exactly the difference is…but it’s annoying.
Tonight, we watched The Ring & now we’re watching The Ring Two. If we’re up to it, we’ll probably watch Disturbia after, because Nicole hasn’t seen it…and it is an amazing movie. Actually, I feel like it should be part of my Top Ten.
Memories
Well I’m in a bloggity mood today, so here we go:
Leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn’t matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! Don’t send a message, leave a comment on here. Next, re-post this in your notes and see how many people leave a memory about you. It’s actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses. Repost as “memories.”
My Top Ten
I got tagged by Adam. He says that I watch more movies then anybody he knows, which is probably true because I am a huge movie fan. I watch a movie nearly every night before I go to bed. Plus I work at a movie theatre, so it makes sense to love movies, eh? I love all types of movies; Comedy, Drama, Horror, Romance, Musicals, anything. (If anybody wants to buy me a Netflix subscription, I would love you forever.) This is extremely hard for me to choose only 10 as my favorites, since my favorites really depend on my mood. I’ll try my best. Here are my top ten movies, in no particular order:
1- You’ve Got Mail: I could watch this movie again & again and I wouldn’t get bored with it. Watch this with me, and you will be extremely annoyed because I know every single line & so I tend to quote the entire movie.
2-Home Alone: I am in love with this movie. My sister hates it because I love to watch it all year ’round, even if it is a Christmas movie.
3-Juno: The first time I saw this movie I was like “That was weird, but I liked it” then as I thought about the movie more, I liked it even more. There are so many excellent scenes in this movie. I love the humor & the music.
4- Dirty Dancing: I finally own this movie. My mom didn’t let me until this past Christmas (she said I had to be 18, which is an improvement from Tonia who didn’t get her copy until she was about 28).
5- Walk The Line: I fell in love with this movie as soon as I saw it. I think that my favorite line is when Elvis says “want some chili fries?” Ha! Excellent
6- National Treasure: This is a long movie, and it isn’t one that I can watch unless I am in the mood to sit down & pay attention. I love it though, and it is one of the few movies where I loved the sequel as much as the first.
7- She’s The Man: I love Amanda Bynes. This movie is just plain cute.
8- Hairspray: Oh boy. Musical & Zac Efron (I don’t like him in HSM, but he is gorgeous in Hairspray). I love the songs, dances & outfits in this movie. I want to dress & dance like them.
9- While You Were Sleeping:This movie is much like You’ve Got Mail for me, it’s a movie that I can watch over & over again and not get sick of it. “Mary mashed them”
10- The Princess Bride: So this is my goal in life. On my first date with my future husband, we will watch this movie. Then when he tells me that he loves me, instead of saying “I love you” he will reply to something that I say with “As you wish.” and stare lovingly into my eyes.
Wow…that was pretty hard.
I don’t know if anybody actually reads my blog, but since I’m putting this on Facebook/MySpace too, I’m tagging
*Elizabeth
*Caitlin
*Katie
*Mom

The rules of the “game” are simple:
1. List your top ten favorite films (in no particular order).
2. If you’re tagged, you’ve got to post and tag 3-5 other people.
3. Give a tag back (some link love) to the one who tagged you in your post
4. Give a hat tip (HT) to Dan
Internet
Most of my online life (which, since I am a college student, is most of my regular life) is spent on websites like Facebook, MySpace & Twitter. I also keep track of a few different blogs. While I do love connecting with my friends online, my internet life is pretty limited. So if you know of any interesting sites that you’d like to send my way, I’d appreciate it.
New Blog
Well I’m not a huge fan of blogger or livejournal. Plus I seem to forget to blog for months at at time, yet, when I start a new blog, I typically am pretty good at consistantly blogging for a while. I also seem to forget my username/password on blogs for some reason, so this time I saved it onto my computer in case I ever forget. So here we are…a new blog.
Right now I’m trying to figure out WordPress & keep track of 2 little ones…so I’ll write a real post later.
